How and why do advertisers use specific works of art or artists to sell their products?"?
"In what context, and for what effect, do modern filmmakers and television producers employ historic art monuments (architecture, painting and sculpture) in their work?" I just need some ideas. I have 1 slide done, & I have to have 15. I did a slide about the Ab Rocket. I had to explain why consumers are attracted to it, and why they would want to buy it. I said they use skinny people to sell exercise equipment. What are some of the words that attract consumers?
This is for art history and I'm doing the same project. I took marketing in high school and many advertisers use sex appeal, drugs, and alcohol to sell their products. It is also very common to have famous movie stars that give off the vibe "you have to try this product because I'm using it and it worked for me." I started out by just defining the visual arts and I'm trying to go from there. I only have 3 slides done so far but I hope this helps. Also, when trying to think about modern filmmakers and such, think about the movie the Davinci Code as well as Angels and Demons. Both movies imply a lot of art and historical monuments throughout them.
