Why can't you go on a vibration exercise machine for more than 10 minutes every hour?
Why can't you go on a vibration exercise machine for more than 10 minutes every hour?
Hi Mitch. From my research into these types of machines, I was told that using a vibration machine for 10 minutes is equivalent to doing regular strength training for 60 minutes.
So, if you were to stand on one of these machines and do a bicep curl holding a 5 pound weight, and you did this for 10 minutes, it would be the same as doing the bicep curl off the machine for an hour.
You really wouldn't want to do a bicep curl for an hour straight. It would be too much fatigue and would probably result in an injury. Therefore, if the 10 minute to 60 minute comparison is true, and I am not saying it is, you wouldn't want to do more than 10 minutes on that machine.
I am not sure if any major medical studies have been done to see if this is true. If you go on some of the vibration machines sites, there is usually a disclaimer which probably means this is unproven. Hope this helps some.
