Can I lose 20 lbs. in 50 days?
INFO: I'm getting married in Jamaica in 50 days. Want to look amazing in a bikini. I'm 5'2" , 123 lbs. bmi is 22.3 (Healthy) If i lose 20 lbs my bmi will be 18.5 (Still healthy) My Plan: Exercise: Bike to work each day. 3.4 mi. (takes me 20 min. each way.) Bike 10 Miles 1 night (wed.) each week, and another 10 miles on Saturdays. Breakfast: small bowl of frosted mini wheets w/ 1% milk. 1 cup coffee w/ creamer Lunch: Peanut butter & jelly sandwich. w/ water Dinner: Early whatever I want, small portion. w/ water Is it possible to lose 20 lbs. and tone up with this plan in 50 days? If anyone has any tips to improve my plan or any other ideas please let me know ASAP. I started biking to work today. I don't enjoy running but I do have a tread mill and some exercise videos.
Your plan includes a completely unbalanced diet. Where are your fruits? Where are your vegetables? Make sure you're eating foods from all the food groups and make veggies the cornerstone of your diet, not grains/starches, and you'll do much better.
Eating 5-6 small meals also tends to work better. Even having just 50-100 calorie snacks in between meals and slightly smaller meals means that when you sit down for a meal you're not starving and can make better choices.
I'd really suggest counting calories too. Often people are surprised about the calorie contents of some foods - or what a proper serving size should be. Measure out your serving sizes with measuring cups and spoons, and write down the calories of what you're eating. Make sure to eat a balanced diet including all the food groups (that's the best way to ward off cravings and make sure you get all the nutrients you need - which further helps you lose weight), and try to keep every day under 1500 calories.
Don't forget to drink plenty of water too. Aim for at least 8 eight oz glasses a day.
