Can anyone tell me more about the abs diet?

We talked about that in 20/20 and it sounds good, but I just dont want to run out and buy the book yet. Can anyone give me the gist of it?

I once proposed the Abs Diet two years ago and have recently started the scheme, a again. The name of the book is a term inappropriate. Not really a diet but a lifestyle change. In other words, I never really stop using what you learn it. The book is worth picking if you have not actually read or understand the processes occurring in your body. But if you understand the diet and exercise physiology because it probably you can skip the first 60 pages because there is no earth-shaking science which can not be obtained elsewhere in dozens of other books - like the Zone diet or the diet South Beach. The best plan is the ease of food choices. Using the power 12 food takes the guesswork out of fixing meals and snacks. There is no long recipes for concern. Abs Diet also makes a very strong emphasis on protein shakes or smoothies. That can get a little old for some people. As someone who loves variety and the fact that the first time I tried the program had a hard time because they only focus on 12 power foods has a bit monotonous after a while. But good news is that, indeed, lose weight and fat that is more important. I gave him a total of six weeks and lost about 15 pounds. then switched back to Weight Watchers. The conclusion is that a program is generally good - especially if you only have to press a little to lose 20-30 pounds of fat. If you are morbidly obese (50-100 or more overweight) then this could be a difficult program to continue in the long run, but certainly worth a try if for no other reason, to learn more about your body and how it uses food.
