I do 850 crunches a day and can't feel it. What should I do?
I do 425 in the Morning and 425 at night.
It's 17 different type of crunches totaling to 425 ( from Debbie Seibers Slim and Six Pack video ).
I've been doing it for three months now, when I began my abs would hurt after each workout but now I can't feel a damn thing.
I can barley see a six pack coming through but I'm on a diet to get rid of the belly fat.
My question is regardless that I don't feel anything is it okay to just keep at it ( doing 850 crunches a day ) and will the six pack look good and enhance once I get rid of the flab by doing this?
First, don't do them daily. The rule with muscle workouts is you don't work the same group 2 days in a row. The muscles need time to rest and heal, and they can't do that if you're continually working (tearing) them every single day.
Make your ab workout every other day, and switch up the type of workouts you do so you focus on the muscles in different ways with different exercises. I like the Ab Ripper X video (part of the P90X program), the Turbo Jam program's Ab Jam workout, Hip Hop Abs (not super intense but something different), and even the old Buns of Steel series Abs of Steel workout.
If you do the same set of crunches day in and day out, eventually you won't feel anything. You either need to add reps or resistance or change the exercise you're doing so it works the muscle differently.
Look up ab exercises online (try youtube also) and see if you can find some different exercises than you are doing, that may increase your results and help you feel like you're actually doing something beneficial.
