Rowing machine good for arms?
Okay so I have a rowing machine but its fallen apart, the piece where you sit down. Now the piece left in tact is the resistence part.
I went over to it today and pulled on the rower (I was standing) up to my chest, and I noticed it was nice for my arms. Now, its raining outside and I can't go to the gym so would this be a good compromise for weights or is it pointless?
Get the other piece fixed, row machines use 85 percent of your body muscles. Second best workout. Your arms are secondary muscle, your primary muscles (back, abs, chest, glutes, hips, legs) are what make you strong. The more you strengthen them, your secondary gets stronger, but if you isolate just the secondary than you won't get true strength. Do workouts that are functional and use your whole boday like a rowing machine would.
