Property Value?
I would like to know if the value of my property would have an effect because of this two things occuring closed to my property:
1. They are building new Town Houses like 2 blocks awaay from my residence.
2. They built a shopping mall in my city.
(Best Buy, Target, Home Depot, Ross, Marshalls, Staples, Shoe Pavillion, 24 Hour Fitness, Payless ect)
Do you think that it would effect my property value? You think it would increase the value?

The new shopping stores are like a half a mile away. I live in a 4bed 3 bath .25 acre house in Compton, California.

Its unlikely either of these would have any effect on your property, up or down. Without seeing the area it would be hard to be more specific. In general, there are so many variables that one or two usually don't change things much.
