------------------------- Better Selection Down Below-------------------------------
For the women... Is that really important (see details) ?
http://ca.lifestyle.yahoo.com/health-fitness/articles/family-health/cp/home_family-forget_tupperware_get_ready_for_the_taser_party
"...many of her women customers love that the C2 is small enough to fit in their purses, and that it comes in a variety of colours. When it comes to choosing weapons, she says, a lot of women want them in pink."
Tasers are a weapon for personal protection. I have to ask you women, does it really matter whether it comes in pink or not ? Is this not misplaced priorities ?
It somehow seems like a bad idea to make them come in various colours; It plays down the fact that these are weapons that can potentially kill someone.
First of all, pink is great for a reason. I use pink fingernail polish to paint all of my tools, like hammers / pliers. Since I began painting all of my tools pink, the guys don't steal them anymore. Maybe the same thing would work with a pink taser. Secondly, I think every woman should have one. Personally, I prefer my .38. Thirdly, by the time a female customer gets to the point of deciding which color, she's already been through the proper "priorities", which are pretty simple. Even a man could get them right:
1. Buy a taser.
2. Pick a color? Sure. Why not?
3. I'll take THAT one . . .the pink one.
4. Placing it in my purse.
Easy, huh? What part of that got your knickers in a knot over women and . . .what did you call it? Oh, yeah . . . "misplaced priorities". Do men have trouble with that sequence of events when THEY pick out their slick camouflage green or Tonka Truck color scheme tasers? LOL
Men and women have been acculturated about color. Most men today have grown very ego-fragile related to fabrics and fabric colors. For example, most western men are not ego-sturdy enough to wear pink or long flowing silk skirts, although such skirts are comfortable and healthy for men, especially related to sperm counts and possibly to reducing incidence of prostate cancer. There are more reasons TO wear long silk skirts than there are reasons NOT to. Yet, men tend to abstain.

Women, on the otherhand, are more liberated and ego-secure about fabrics and colors and designs.

Women, allowed to be more liberated about colors, have keen sensibilities about them and their harmonies. Color is very meaningful as one becomes more aware. Men tend to disregard and dismiss what women can construct with color as frivolous and of "misplaced sensibilities". That is sexism and lack of sensibility and awareness. Take the art of flower arranging, Ikebana. Western men are often not sensible or aware enough to understand the importance of artful balance and harmony, such as the measureable health benefits derived from ancient feng shui, the harmonious placement and arrangement of space and form, which is dismissed oftentimes due to primitive levels of awareness. But, western women tend to be more aware of those harmonies and constructions of color, space and form:

For most men, their priorities related to color, space and form constructions tend to revolve around penis equivalents, and the bigger the better:

The first thing men do when they are selecting a taser is hold it, judge it's worth with their sense of touch, which is meaningless in matters of tasers. Men equate the heavier "weight" of tasers (which are specifically designed to be heavier to attract male customers) with "power". Many power tools are designed to look "brawny" for no real reason other than to appeal to male psychological needs and "misplaced priorities".
Women do not often relate to simple "bigger is better" penis constructions of color, space and form like tasers that are designed and marketed to attract male customers. Women prefer more sophisticated harmonies than penis constructions:

As for the wisdom of women owning a taser, I refer once again to another penis construction . . .a society that tolerates over 40,000 gun slaughter deaths each and every year in the U.S., that cannot seem to rise above the "alpha male" baboon behaviors of rape, assault, murder, torture, mugging, etc. As I said, every woman should own one for personal pretection, receive proper training in its use, and never hesitate to use it if she feels she's in danger of bodily harm. And, as for your last comment in your question: Who CARES if a taser "accidently" kills an attacker? An attacker couldn't care less about YOUR life. Men are condescending and look like buffoons when they presume that the priorities of women are "misplaced" when so many of their own priorities are so clearly "misplaced".
