Alternative to using a punching bag?
So, I'm trying to do some intense conditioning training for an upcoming fitness test and part of the plan I made for myself includes using a punching bag. However I do not have the money nor do I have the room for a heavy bag, not even a free standing one. I thought about using a wall, but honestly I'm afraid of hurting myself. I suppose I could try shadow boxing, which would give me the agility benefits, but I want to develop the power too. I also have a good pair of sparring gloves that I would like to use! Any suggestions?
Now before you suggest going to a gym, I do not have a gym membership because I can't afford it and frankly I just don't think it's worth it anyway. My college has a fitness center but no punching bag, so this is not really an option for me. Thanks!
If you can find room you can make a homemade boxing bag, you can get old clothes and material and put in a duffel bag with the straps cut off. The only problem is you need to have a lot of material and clothes to make it even slightly heavy. If you want to gain power a heavier bag would be more useful, if you can get access to sand you can put that it a bag and double or triple it over so it doesn't break than put it in a duffel bag. If you don't have access to sand you can use rice, dirt, grains etc. If you cannot find the room for a heavy bag, your option are if your training by yourself.

* Maybe put your bed mattress up against the wall
* You could use a sand bag.
The main tip is too be creative.
But I wouldn't punch walls that will just injure your hands and knuckles and possibly wrists and is less effective for power because the wall doesn't move or break so the impact that you generate just comes back up your arm. If you punch a heavy bag the bag either moves and takes the impact or it squishes in when you hit these are great power builders.
