Going to the gym and i need help?
Okay so I am planning to lose some weight before July 15, 2010 and i do have a gym membership.
I was wondering what exercises i need to do at the gym and what equipment to use.
i go to LA Fitness. For breakfast i was planning to drink the protein shakes from Special K. For lunch i was planning to have half of a turkey sandwich or chicken breast and vegetables. For dinner i would have salmon or shrimp,I could use other healthy recipes, some days i would replace my meal with a shake or smoothie.
i just mainly need help with my exercise plan Please help i don't know what cardio to do or what weight training. and i heard that you shouldn't eat within 2 hours of working out is that true?
p.s. I weight 183 and I'm almost 15(a teenage girl) and im about 5feet 2inches
please no stupid answers if you don't know then don't answer.
You should do a mixture of aerobic (treadmill, elliptical, stairmaster, etc.) and muscle building machines. The aerobic will help you lose the fat weight and the muscle building will help to tone you up and will increase the amount of energy your body uses, even at rest. Personally, I like the elliptical, but my sis likes the treadmill, so just use the one you like and don't forget to do the cool down.
I would recommend muscle building machines that use more than one muscle group, like the assisted dip/chin up machine, and the leg press. Swimming is another great thing to do if your gym has a pool, since it uses your Whole Body.
You should also check out the classes since they offer fun calorie burning variety.
